Nereid Apothecary
Rendering and Digital Design - Winter '23
My Rendering and Digital Design (RADD) course at SOU centered around a prompt and specific keywords we would choose from a given list. I was drawn to this:

"Apothecary: An 18th Century herbalist shop with a mix of magic and medicine.
Keywords: prosperous, fairy tale, mythic, organic"

After this we were required to build on this concept with specific components that we would compile together and present at the end of the term. While initially I was planning on going the traditional route when it came to the apothecary prompt (something gothic and "witchy") my friend Kiersten Van Dorpth ( also one of my crew mates on "Bridge of the Imperador") actually helped me land on a more unique idea: an oceanic apothecary. From there the concept built on itself and the end result was Nereid Apothecary, a coastal apothecary ran by the rumored siren, Calypso.

Nereid is one of my favorite projects I've worked on. While I do wish I spent more time on interior shots of the apothecary, Calypso is one of the best characters I've designed. I'm really happy with the end result of this project. Here you can find my Pinterest Board I kept while working on my components. Hope you like the work you see here!
